about Ana
Ana Sera was born and raised in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona. Ana started her musical theatre journey when at age four she told her grandmother, “I want to see my name in lights”, and Grandma Betty never let her forget. She has continued to pursue musical theatre throughout high school and into her collegiate career.
Ana is in her fourth and final year of The School of Music, Dance, and Theater and Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University, where she trains with Dr. Stephanie Weiss. She will graduate with her Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre Vocal Performance: Mezzo-Soprano and a Minor in Dance in Spring 2022.
When not onstage, Ana often works behind the scenes. She works as a costume aide in the ASU costume shop. Ana also spends time writing plays and short stories. One of her main life goals is to expand the musical theatre cannon with shows for people from variety of backgrounds and life experiences.
In her free time, Ana loves water coloring, reading good books, and travelling. In summer 2019, she went to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to study Russian. Ana is a huge movie buff! She watched through the entire MCU, LOTR, and Harry Potter with her dad during quarantine. She loves to talk about movies and television. As a certified group fitness instructor, Ana teaches Tabata, Hiit, Muscle, Ampd, and Glutes Cardio Core. She also loves to do yoga, Pilates, dance, and hiking.
